MARY RUTH McCARTHY

Mary Ruth McCarthy of 3012 Warner Rd., NE, Fowler, Ohio, died at 10:00 PM Friday at Trumbull Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was 70.

Mrs. McCarthy was born in Hartford, Ohio on December 13, 1934, a daughter of Elmer and Geraldine (Brown) Chilson.

She was a 1952 graduate of Hartford High School and had been a homemaker most of her life. She attended Sharon Baptist Church, Hermitage, PA.

Mary Ruth had a love for shopping, traveling, and spending time with family & friends.

Survivors include: husband, Ronald W. McCarthy, Sr., whom she married 1-1-53; 6 children, Ronald W. Jr., and his wife Donna, Farmington, OH, Timothy A. Sr., and his wife Charlene, Hartford, OH, Lori A. McCarthy, and her fiance’ Ken, Mecca, OH, Sherri L. Tutor, and her husband Daniel, Champion, OH, Vicki L. Snyder, and her husband James, Coronado, CA, and Christopher S., and his wife Heather, Alexandria, VA; 4 siblings, Betty Wells, Hartford, OH, Dorothy Smith, Orangeville, OH, Charles Chilson, Bristolville, OH, and Donna Young, Kinsman, OH; 10 Grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday (6-2-05) at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield, with Bruce Perry, Deacon. Calling hours will be 6-8 PM Wednesday. Burial will be in Dugan Cemetery, Fowler, OH.
