Meghan Michele Corrigan

Meghan Michele Corrigan, age 19 of Champion Township, died of natural causes at 4:45 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2010, at the Cleveland Clinic, where she had been a patient for 2 weeks. She was born May 28, 1991 in Warren the daughter of Dean M. Corrigan and Dawn M. Gilligan Williams. Meghan lived in Champion all her life and was a 2009 graduate of Champion High School, where she was a member of the varsity golf team, was a member of the Yearbook staff, wrote for the school newspaper and was an office aide. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed fitness exercising, running and snowboarding. Meghan was currently attending her second year at Youngstown State University and had worked at Dick's Sporting Goods at the check out register. Meghan is survived by her dad, Dean M. of Champion; her mom and stepdad, Dawn M. and Ralph Williams of Howland; one brother, Michael N. Corrigan of Champion; a stepbrother, Kevin Williams and a stepsister, Karlee Williams both of Hubbard; grandparents, Jerry and Charlotte Gilligan of Southington and Ed and Sue Corrigan of Warren; a great grandmother, Catherine Kinder of Fredericktown, Pa.; aunts and uncles, Cindy (Tim) Zeter of Cincinnatti, Jerry (Dorothy) Gilligan of Austintown, Melissa (Scott) Kale of Bristolville, Tod (Melody) Gilligan of Southington and Dawn (Jeff) Urso of Howland. Several cousins also survive. Her grandmother, Arlene Corrigan preceded her in death in 1994. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren, The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Roberts-Clark Chapel. Burial will be at Sager Memorial Cemetery in Bristolville. Arrangments were handled by Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel in Cortland.
