Mercedes C Cicozi

AUSTINTOWN-There will be a funeral service held at 10AM Monday, July 14, 2008 in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Mercedes "Cede" C. Cicozi, 73, who passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at 3:29PM Wednesday, July 9, 2008 in Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Mercedes was born June 1, 1935 in Youngstown the daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie L. (Corrado) DeSiato. Mercedes was a 1953 graduate of East High School. A Homemaker, Mercedes was of the catholic faith and was a professional grandma. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend; Mercedes will be deeply missed by her husband Paul J. Cicozi Sr. whom she married April 30, 1955; three children and six grandchildren Paul J. (Melissa) Cicozi Jr. of Pittsburgh and their children Lauren E. and Anna K. Cicozi; Cynthia M. "Cyndi" Cicozi-Fiscus of Austintown and her son Ryan P. Fiscus; and David F. Cicozi of Austintown and his children Dominic F. Cicozi, Michael D. Cicozi, and Vanessa C. Cicozi; a sister Marlene (Ralph) DePietro of Warren; several nieces and nephews and by a host of friends. Besides her parents, Mercedes was preceded in death by a sister Dolores M. Marstellar. Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 13, 2008 from 2 until 5 PM in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Mercedes' memory to the Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family would like to offer their love and appreciation to Forum Health, the Hope Cancer Care Center, and to all of the countless friends and family for all of the love, prayers, and care they gave and offered to Mercedes and the support they showed to the family.
