Merritt J. “Jim” “Beefy” Kenyon III, 57, of Palmyra Rd. SW Warren, died Wednesday evening, November 7, 2007 at 9:05PM in Trumbull Memorial Hospital of complications from diabetes. Born November 11, 1949 in Cleveland, he was a son of the late Merritt James and Norma (Lichty) Kenyon Jr. A Warren area resident for most of his life, Jim was previously employed by B&P Shirts in Niles, formerly of Warren for several years. Jim was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He enjoyed NASCAR and loved music. During his younger years, Jim played guitar in several bands that performed locally. He enjoyed spending time with family especially his granddaughter and will be missed by his canine companions, Boomerang, Spikee, and Butter. Jim will be dearly missed by his loving wife Louann (Devlin) Kenyon whom he married December 28, 1979, three daughters Laura (John Waggoner Jr.) Tenney, Nora (Robert) Donohue, and Kathy (Mitch Smith) Tenney all of Warren, two granddaughters Tiffany Donahue and Taylor Tenney and a brother Robert T. (Susan) Kenyon of Warren. He was preceded in death by two nephews James A. and Robert T. Kenyon Jr. The Rev. Colin Roberts will conduct a memorial service Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 8PM at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel where family and friends may visit from 4 to 8PM. According to Jim’s wishes cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Welfare League at 545 Brunstetter Rd. SW Warren, OH 44481.
