Michael Charles Zydyk

Vienna Michael Charles "Mike" Zydyk, 68, of Vienna, OH died Thursday afternoon at 4:11PM, August 18, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, OH; following an extended illness, with his children by his side. Mike was born on February 14, 1948 in Sharon, PA, a son of the late Dmytro and Mary (Ustik) Zydyk. He was a 1966 graduate of Mathews High School in Vienna, OH. He retired from Delphi Packard Electric Systems after 36 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, landscaping, camping, and spending time with his grand children. He had a passion for growing pumpkins which has blossomed into a family tradition. Honoring his generous wish, the gift of life was shared through organ and tissue donation. Mike is survived by his daughter, Aimee P. (Edward) Eve of Cortland, OH and his son Michael J. Zydyk of Vienna, OH; five grandchildren, Hannah, Ethan, and Aidan Kerr, and Brooklynn and Blake Zydyk; one brother, James (Patricia) Zydyk of Chagrin Falls, OH; two sisters, Betty Cooper of Vienna, OH and Patricia (Michael) Barney of Bazetta, OH; and by a host of friends. Besides his parents, Mike was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Reichart and a brother, Harry Zydyk, Per Mike's wishes, a caring cremation has taken place and there will be no calling hours observed.
