There will be a Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Austintown for Michael E. Quinn, who passed away Saturday morning at his home surrounded by his family and friends, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Mike was born March 13, 1956 in Cleveland a son of Edward and Joan (Emeigh) Quinn Santillo. He was a 1976 graduate of Chaney High School, and then served in the United States Army last serving at Ft. Lee where he was a driver of the commanding officers. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Austintown. Mike had worked for the Youngstown Post Office, and was most recently an independent truck driver, having won many awards for safe driving. An avid Mustang enthusiast he helped form the Mahoning Valley Mustangs at his home in 1995, and was a proud founding member. Mike was a devoted husband and father and very proud of his wife and children. He is survived by his wife the former Mary Ann Seach, whom he married September 24, 1977; his son Gregory Michael Quinn of Farmington Hills, MI, who is a news videographer for WDIV in Detroit; his daughter Brianna Shelby Quinn at home, who is a student at St. Joseph School; his mother of Youngtown; sister Mary Kay Quinn of Greene Township; step sisters: Sandy Reed and Paula Santillo both of Youngstown; step brother Joe Santillo of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews. Mike is preceded in death by his father and step father Joseph Santillo. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family of Michael E. Quinn. Friends may call from 5 PM until 8 PM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, where closing prayers will be recited 9:20 AM Wednesday.
