Michael J. Sabol

A memorial service celebrating the life of Michael J. Sabol will be held at 3 PM Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. Mike passed away Monday, April 9th, at St. Elizabeth Hospital at the age of 79. He was born September 6, 1938 in Campbell the son of Michael S. and Magdalene (Timar) Sabol. He was a graduate of Fitch High School class of 1956 and served in the U.S. Navy. Mike was an independent truck driver, owner/operator. He was a member to the Teamsters local #377. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, and cars. Mike was also a Bear Guide in Canada. Mike leaves his wife of almost 56 years, the former Helen Baringer, whom he married May, 17, 1962, two children, Shelly (Rob) Scott of Girard, and Mike (Pam) Sabol of Youngstown, one granddaughter, Jessica Johannes of Columbus and one brother John (Marci) Sabol of Austintown. Besides his parents, Mike was preceded in death by a sister Madge Sabol, a brother Joseph Sabol, and his uncle John Sabol whom he was very close to. Friends may call from 1 to 3 PM Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel where services will be held at 3 PM.
