Michael Steger Jr., 75, of Youngstown, died on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at his home. Michael was born on December 18, 1941 in Romania, a son of the late Michael and Rosina (Hartig) Steger Sr. Michael graduated from South High School in 1959. After graduation, he proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving his country for four years. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an undergraduate in German from Youngstown State University. He taught at New Castle School of Trades for over 20 years. In his free time, he enjoyed reading, and watching history documentaries. He leaves behind three children; Michelle (John) Sumter, of North Charleston, SC., Renee Steger, of SC., Whitney Steger, of Youngstown, and Todd Carmichael Sr., of Youngstown ten grandchildren; Earl James Sumter, Devon Sumter, Donovan Sumter, Damon Sumter, and Maurice Steger Sr, Todd Carmichael Jr., Brandon Carmichael, Naveh Carmichael, Ashley Carmichael and Omari Carmichael and one great grandson, Maurice Steger Jr. Immediate burial will take place Monday, January 30, 2017 at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Care was entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
