Mildred H. Mccullough

AUSTINTOWN- Mildred H. McCullough, 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2015. She was born on January 22, 1920 in Slippery Rock, PA, daughter to the late Frank and Isabella (Rhodes) Hindman. Mildred was a Slippery Rock High School graduate. She went on to study Cosmetology and worked as a self employed hairstylist for 40 years. Mildred married the love of her life, John McCullough, in October of 1941. They spent the next 50 years together before John's passing in March of 1992. Mildred will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Left to carry on Mildred's memory is her daughter, Patricia Dickey; her grandchildren, Michele (Charles) Emerick, John (Debbie) Dickey, and Danielle Dickey; her great-grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, Zachary, Kyle, Adam, Tyler, and Isabella; and her sister, Frances Frazier. In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Robert Dickey; her granddaughter, Heather Dickey; and her sisters, Mary Stevens, Charlotte Hindman, and Martha Ruckert. The family will receive friends from 4PM-5PM on Tuesday, March 17 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave. A memorial service will follow calling hours at 5PM. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Paisley House and the staff of Hospice House for their compassionate care of Mildred.
