Mildred Juanita Boyce Kansa passed away early Saturday morning at Briarfield at Ashley Circle. Juanita was born October 25, 1917 in Akron a daughter of the late Okey Ernest and Mary Florence (Rollyson) Carr. She was a member of the First Federated Church in North Jackson and volunteered for church suppers and “Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard”, and was a manager of Petries for 18 years retiring in 1986. She enjoyed her vegetable garden and growing roses, cooking Sunday dinners for her family and collecting salt and pepper shakers. Juanita is survived by two sons: Claude (Patricia) Boyce of Austintown and Edward (Carole) Boyce of Canfield; two brothers: Edsel Ford Carr of Uniontown, OH and Edward Maxwell Carr of Austin, TX; nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband Alonzo Fritz Boyce whom she married January 8, 1937 and passed away on January 14, 1967, her second husband Paul Kansa whom she married November 1, 1968 and passed away on December 22, 1998, a brother Glenn Everett Carr and a sister Mary Louise Carr Wells Witner. Friends may call from 12 – 1 PM Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel where a funeral service will take place at 1 PM Tuesday. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the First Federated Church in Juanita’s name.
