AUSTINTOWN---Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 AM At the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Howard Brobst of 5647 Mahoning Ave who passed away Thursday morning at his residence of Emphysemia and Lung Cancer. Brownie was born October 24, 1922 in Austintown a son of Harmon and Flora (Koby) Brobst. He was a carpenter working out of Local 171 Youngstown for over 60 years. He was a member of the West Austintown United Methodist Church, and a Seabee with the United States Navy during WW II Brownie was co-owner of the former Hy-Skore Bowling Alley in Austintown and was a avid fisherman and woodworker. He is survived by his wife Betty (McKean) Brobst whom he married February 9, 1956, and a brother Myron “Fritz” W. Brobst of Austintown. He is also survived by nieces Lynn Jacobs, Laraine Villone, Cheryl Abramson and a nephew Terry Brobst. And numerous other nieces and nephews in Pa. He is preceded in death by a brother Harmon Brobst a 2 sisters Iva Lois Kramnick and Jane Brobst. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Sunday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. The family requests material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley or West Austintown United Methodist Church Building Fund.
