Ellsworth- A Celebration of life service will be held at 12 pm Wednesday in Ellsworth Presbyterian Church for Myron Young who died Saturday morning at his residence. Myron was born December 28, 1926 in Ellsworth the son of Leroy B. and Mary A. (Stroup) Young and was a lifelong Ellsworth resident. Myron was the proud owner operator of Young's Restaurant and had been a school bus driver for Western Reserve Schools for many years. He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the Army as a M.P. Service to his community was very important to Myron, he was a Charter member of the Ellsworth Fire Department, Charter member of Berlin-Ellsworth Ruritan Club. His church was also a very large part of Myron's life, he was a member of Ellsworth Presbyterian Church where he had been an Elder, Deacon, Trustee and for many years President of the Men's Prayer Breakfast. Myron was a life member of the VFW, Charter member of Ellsworth VFW Post 9571 where he had served as Post Commander many years, former Commander of County Council VFW, former Commander District 8, former Commander Department of Ohio and was a National Council member of VFW. Myron is survived by his wife of 63 years the former Carrie Elaine McJunkin whom he married April 26, 1947, children; Susan (Ron) Young, Mark (Theresa) Young and Keith (Peggy) Young all of Ellsworth. He will be missed by his brother Howard (Sally) Young of Ellsworth and his sister Minnie Troutman of North Jackson and grandchildren; Erica Carpenter, Andrew Lenhart, Michelle (George) Wilson, Nicholas Young, Stephen Lenhart, Leta Lenhart, Keith Young and great grandchildren; Kennedy, Myra and Bennett. He was preceded in death by his sisters; Jessie Cramer, Mary Jane Young and brothers; Leroy "Shortie", Ralph, Walt, and Stewart Young. Family and friends may call from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel and from 11 am until time of services Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Ellsworth Cemetery with Military Honors. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the VFW Post 9571 or the Ellsworth Presbyterian Church.
