Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday at St. Christine’s Church in Youngstown for Mrs. Myrtle Rose Booth 96 who passed away Wednesday afternoon at Camelot Arms Care Center. Myrtle was born May 27, 1906 in Youngstown, the daughter of William and Cecilia (Welsh) Rooney. She had been a janitor in the Youngstown City Schools for seventeen years retiring in 1975. Mrs. Booth leaves four children: Dorothy Syphard of Boardman, Audrey Morrow of Mineral Ridge, James Booth of Boardman, and Edward Booth also of Boardman. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren. Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband Alfred in 1961 as well as a daughter: Donna Jean Booth, two grandchildren: Diane Syphard and Robert Booth, and a brother Edward Rooney. Friends and family may call at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel from 6-8 on Friday.
