Nancy B Kane

April 20, 1933 — July 19, 2011

Nancy Kane, 78, peacefully joined the loving arms of the Lord on July 19, 2011, after a long and brave struggle with several medical conditions. She was born April 20, 1933 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of Robert L Haddon and Hazel (Vesey) Haddon. She graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in June of 1951. After high school, she worked at the Sears Department Store in downtown Warren where she met and fell in love with her sweetheart Richard. Soon after, she became a homemaker and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her unconditional love towards her family was always truly a blessing. She readily supported her daughter’s school activities and endeavors over the years and was involved in many PTA projects for her grandchildren. She really enjoyed the beauty of nature and all its little creatures. Nancy had great fun going on family vacations, antiquing with her husband and collecting unique tea pots and match safes. She absolutely loved books and reading. She had great interest in all things Civil War and Lincoln (which included attending Civil War reenactments, reading Civil War era books, and an impressive cabinet display of miniature soldiers in a battle field scene). She thoughtfully preserved and documented family history through journals and many photo albums. Nancy will be sadly missed by her husband, Richard Kane, whom she married April 2, 1954; her daughter Lori (Kane) Findley, of Warren and grandchildren Lilah Findley, of Beavercreek and Robert Findley III, of Warren. She will also be missed by sisters Shirlee Ferguson, of Warren and Carilyn Rudolph, of Cortland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Hazel Haddon, as well as son-in-law, Rusty Findley. Funeral services will be at 2PM on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the services. Nancy will then be laid to rest at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna, Ohio. Material contributions may be made in Nancy’s memory to the American Lung Association at 6100 Rockside Woods Blvd #260 Cleveland, OH 44131-2341.
