Nancy J. Macik

AUSTINTOWN- Services will be held at 6pm on Monday July 7, 2014 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown for Nancy J. Macik, 64, who departed this life after a battle with ovarian cancer on Thursday July 3, 2014 at Hospice House, with her family at her side. Nancy was born Feb. 8, 1950 in Roscoe, PA, the daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys Kalish. Nancy graduated from California area high school in California, PA in 1968. Nancy married the love of her life Gary on Nov. 14, 1970. They enjoyed 43 years of happiness together. Nancy and her husband have lived in Lordstown and Austintown. Nancy started working for Second National Bank in 1986. Because of her hard work, she worked her way to become a branch manager/ assistant vice president for Second National Bank, Sky Bank and Huntington Bank, retiring in 2008. Because of her love for banking, and helping and caring for her customers, she returned to work in 2011 as a manager at First Place Bank and Talmer Bank. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking for them, which they enjoyed and will miss very much. She also loved to cruise the high seas, going on 11 cruises and many beach vacations with her family and husband. She also enjoyed the times with friends at her cabin at Salt Fork State Park. Nancy will be greatly missed by her golden retriever Cooper. She is survived by her devoted husband Gary of 43 years, her three loving sons Greg (Amanda) Macik of Niles, Brian (Mandi) Macik and Joe (Ashley) Macikboth of Austintown, her five grandchildren Zack, Emily, Ethan, Abbey and Ayla, brother Joe (Judy) Kalish of Williamsburg, VA and sister Elizabeth Ray of Stockdale, PA. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Gladys Kalish, her in-laws Mike and Pearl Macik and brother-in-law William Ray. Family and friends may call on Monday July 7, 2014 from 4 until the time of services at 6pm at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown. In lieu of flowers, Nancy requests that you "pay it forward." Next time you pass through a drive through restaurant, please pay for the person behind you and have the restaurant say it is from "Nancy."
