Nancy L. Hahlen

Lake Milton- Funeral services will be held at 12 pm Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Nancy Hahlen who died Tuesday afternoon at her residence after a four and half year courageous battle with cancer. Nancy was born October 22, 1947 in Ravenna the daughter of Joseph and Doris (Sickle) Holecko. Nancy retired from Austintown Schools in 2005, where she had been Principal at Lynn Kirk School for seven years. She graduated in 1965 from Jackson Milton High School, attended Kent State University and received her Masters in Administration from Dayton University. She loved to travel and enjoyed her Corvette. Nancy’s greatest love was being with her family. She will be sadly missed by her husband David W. Hahlen whom she married August 14, 1971, her children; Benjamin D. (Jill) Hahlen from Chicago, IL. and Stephanie N. (Michael) Dailey of Austintown. She will also be missed by her mother Doris Holecko, sister Bonnie Prusky both of Lake Milton and her brother Joseph Holecko of North Jackson. She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Holecko. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Friday at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to Ireland Cancer Center at University Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio.
