January 20, 1955 — November 3, 2015

Nancy Lee Brooker, 60 of Fowler, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at Windsor House in Champion after a lengthy illness. She was born January 20, 1955 in Warren, the daughter of the late Howard Brooker and Mary Giaurtis Freeman. She was raised in Bristolville. Nancy was a 1973 graduate of Bristol High School and attended Kent State University. She had lived 20 years in Oakland, California. She was currently employed at Jayde International in Cortland as the office manager. Nancy loved helping people and she founded the clothing ministry at Cross Point Bible Fellowship in Vienna, because of her caring heart. She attended Fowler Community Church and was an active volunteer with the Animal Welfare League and loved animals, especially her dogs Goldie and Roxie and her many cats. She would never refuse a stray animal. Nancy also enjoyed long nature walks and gardening. Her most important love was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with whom she now peacefully resides. Surviving are her mother and step father, Mary and Raymond Freeman of Bristolville; one brother, William H. Brooker of Cortland; one step sister, Sherri (Paul) Mayoros of Garrettsville; one step brother, Eric Freeman of Memphis; a brother-in-law and good friend, Arthur Bain of Howland; three nieces, Natalie Bain, Camille Chiodo and Daphne Bain and one nephew, Mason Mayoros. She also leaves behind her closest friends, Sheryl Brocious, Katina Weaver and Susan Alexander. Her father, Howard Brooker preceded her in death. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Fowler Community Church with Pastor John Talkington officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Bristolville. Arrangements were entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, OH 44512.
