Nancy Lee Dodrill

Nancy Lee Dodrill, 81, of Mineral ridge, formerly of Niles, died on Sunday November 22, 2015 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center surrounded by her family. Nancy was born on August 6, 1934 in Bazetta a daughter of the late Paul and Ellen (Rodgers) Flanigan. Nancy was a 1952 graduate of Niles McKinley High School. Nancy "Sergeant Nance" as she was known to her family and friends was a hard working individual who didn't mess around. She worked for General motors on the assembly line for over 20 years. Nancy also worked part time for Trumbull Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping department. In her free time she enjoyed online shopping, planting flowers, listening to Elvis Presley music and watching her daily soap operas. Her favorite past time was spent helping her son on their family farm raising chickens, pigs and cows. She leaves behind her two sons; Ted Dodrill of Mineral Ridge and Tom (Rose) Dodrill of Niles, two grandchildren; Meghan Dodrill and Adam Lewis and one great grandchild. She also leaves behind three sisters; Pauletta Pyatt of Oklahoma, Beverly (Jim) Jackson, Jan (Ed) Pinczuk, two brothers; Terry (Elise) Flanigan and John Flanigan all of Niles, and several nieces and nephew who she loved dearly. Besides her parents Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Albert Dodril, whom she married in July 29, 1954. Albert passed away on June 14, 1998, they were married for 44 loving years. She is also preceded in death by her two sons; Tad and Tim Dodrill two brothers; Pete and Bob Flanigan and a sister Randy Court. Family and friends may call November 27, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at lane Family Funeral Homes, Niles Chapel 415 Robbins Ave. Niles, OH 44446. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 am November 28, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Niles City Cemetery.
