CORTLAND- Naomi Ruth Baker, 83, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. She was born on January 5, 1931 daughter of Truman and Rosamond (Knapp) Daubenspeck in Warren County, Pennsylvania. Naomi was a member of Fowler United Methodist Church. She retired from Packard Electric after 30 years of service. Naomi enjoyed playing bridge with the Cortland S.C.O.P.E., crocheting and in her younger years, golfing and bowling. Naomi was always helping other people; she helped many of her friends get to their doctor's appointments when they didn't have a ride. Naomi had an infectious sense of humor and was always laughing and joking. Naomi is survived by her son, Jerry F. (Faye) Wilson and daughter, Cheri L. (Nathan) Drysdale; grandchildren, Bryan Wilson, Jeffrey Wilson, Crystal Rose and Amanda Burley; great grandchildren, Grace, Rachel, Nora and James; and brother, Charles Daubenspeck. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ellsworth Daubenspeck and T. Harry Daubenspeck and a niece, Erika Bates. Calling hours will be on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel, 164 North High Street, Cortland, Ohio, 44410, from 10:00AM to 11:00AM with the funeral service beginning at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Cortland, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Naomi to the Fowler United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 8, Fowler, Ohio 44418.
