Nicholas L Pernice

Nicholas L. Pernice, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the Hospice of the Valley in Youngstown, Ohio. Nicholas was born on February 5, 1919 to the late, Mr. Gaetano and Laura Pernice in Warren, Ohio. Nicholas retired from Taylor Winfield after 48 years having served as Vice President of Labor Relations and Personnel. Nicholas served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1946 as a Platoon Sergeant Major and was a past Chairman of the United Way. Nicholas is survived by his daughter, Jacque Pernice of Niles, Ohio; son, Patrick (Gigi) of Warren, Ohio; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Nicholas was preceeded in death by his wife of 57 years, Patricia R. Pernice; sister, Mary Mango and brothers, Frank Pernice, Chester Pernice, James Pernice, and Leonard Pernice. There will be no calling hours or services for the public. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
