Nicholas Rocco Capanna, 22 Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 24th at Greenford Christian Church, 11767 Lisbon Rd, Greenford, OH 44422 for Nicholas Rocco Capanna, 22 of Canfield who went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening at Riverside Methodist Hospital Emergency Room, Columbus. Nicholas, known as "Rocco" was born October 28, 1992 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, a son of Rocco Capanna and Maryann Capanna and came to this area in 2003. He graduated from Canfield High School in 2012 .He loved sports, playing football for the Canfield Little Cardinals, winning the Super Bowl; playing soccer during middle school and a member of the wrestling team in 8th grade. He also played flag football for the "Philadelphia Eagles", where he was coached by his dad. Rocco grew up in the boxing world, throwing his first punch at 10 months of age at his dad. He was a true Philadelphia Eagles fan, dressing up in his fan gear to watch the game. He also loved cars and racing. Rocco worked for BOC Water Hydraulic, Inc. for over 2 years in inventory management. He loved his job at BOC, his boss Todd Olson and his co-workers. His co-workers stated they will miss Rocco's smile, his joyous disposition and his sense of humor. He kept everyone laughing and would do anything to help others as he had such a kind and gentle heart. Rocco was currently enrolled at Liberty University on-line program, majoring in business management. He loved the Lord and had a personal relationship with Jesus. Rocco enjoyed writing and was very talented especially at writing heartfelt poems. Besides his parents, his mother, Maryann Capanna of Canfield; his father, Rocco Capanna and step-mother, Christy Oviatt of Boardman, he leaves his half- sister, Sabrina Thomas, his half-brother, Joseph Thomas; two nephews and a niece that he adored, Zackery, Caedyn and Lillyana; many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends including the special girl in his life, Julie Sokol. Besides his grandparents, Rocco was preceded in death by his uncle, Captain Joseph Capanna. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 65 N. Broad Street, Canfield Chapel and one hour prior to the services on Friday at the church. The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to Big Brothers/Big Sisters, 325 N. State Street, Girard, OH 44425 or to the Lupus Foundation of America, 12930 Chippewa Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141
