Nick Vankovich

Funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Nick Vankovich of Youngstown who passed away Sunday morning at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Nick was born October 14, 1918 in Youngstown a son of Adam and Anastasia Vankovich. He was a mechanic for the Federal Government for 31 years retiring in 1987, and was an Army Veteran of WWII serving in the Pacific Theater. He is survived by his son Nick Vankovich Jr. of Boardman, a sister Sophie Marski of Chicago, IL and two granddaughters Christine and Karen Anne Vankovich both of Canfield. He is preceded in death by his wife the former Kathryn Zgurich whom he married in 1946 and passed away July 8, 1988. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel from 5-8 PM Tuesday evening
