Canfield- Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Nicola DiPillo who died Wednesday morning at his residence. Nicola was born November 13, 1919 in Pacentro Providence of L'Aquila, Italy and came to Youngstown in 1952. Nicola was a member of St. Christine Church, Pacentrano Club of Youngstown, Sons of Italy of Youngstown and the United Steel Workers of America. He enjoyed Bocce, wine making, gardening and cooking. Nicola loved spending time with his family and friends. He retired when the mills closed in Youngstown, from Youngstown Sheet & Tube where he had been a scarfer. He served in the Italian Army during WWII. Nicola is survived by children; Anna (Antonio) LaLama of Canfield, Amelia (Martin) LoPresti of Fountain Hills, AZ., Teresa (Thomas) Kollar of Canfield, Silvana DiPillo Seeger of Austintown, Diana DiPillo of Scottsdale, AZ., James (Kimberlee) DiPillo of Austintown, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. he was preceded in death by his wife Adele DiCicco DiPillo December 27, 1989, infant son Gaetano, brothers; Paul (Angeline), Germano (Maria) and sisters; Giovanna (Guerino) DiSalle, Rosina DiPillo LePore and Angeline DiPillo. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
