Norma Bernice Stull

Norma B. (Atkinson) Stull, age 85, of Cortland, Ohio, died Sunday, July 9, 2006, at 7:30 AM, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio. She was born on July 2, 1921 in West Middlesex, PA., the daughter of the late Mattie Dill Atkinson and the late Charles Atkinson. Norma was the youngest surviving sibling of sixteen children of whom eight survived to adulthood. She was a member of the Cortland United Methodist Church, the Cortland Lady Lions, and the Cortland Conservation Club. Mrs Stull was a Cortland resident for 47 years, having moved from Parma. Norma was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and Friend. Her family was everything to her. She was the family historian and correspondent by both mail and telephone. She recorded family events by movies and pictures and she wrote in her journal daily. She was an avid reader. She loved to cook, collect recipes, and then share her recipes with others. On August 19, 1941, she married Donald R. Stull. Norma and Don loved to travel in their Winnebago and enjoyed their time boating and fishing together. Donald preceded her in death on October 11, 1994. She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne Ley of Vienna and her son, Donald Stull of Cortland. Five grandchildren, Kelly McClellan of Cortland, Wendy (Mike) Davis of Southington, Michael (Darla) McClellan of Columbus, Jason (Lisa) McClellan of Cortland, and Nathan Ley of Vienna. Also surviving are nine great grandchildren, Aleah, Kaitlin, Brianna, Chelsea, Brooklin, Levi, T.J., A.J., and Mariah. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, Daughter, Judith A. (Stull) Fantauzzi, and several brothers and sisters. Arrangements are being handled by Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel, where private family services were held on Monday, July 10, 2006. Family and friends will celebrate Norma's life on Saturday, July 15, 2006, at 10:00 AM, at the Cortland United Methodist Church, located at 155 North High St. Services will be Officiated by Norma's Niece, Rev.
