Norma J. Grantz

Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, 3300 Canfield Rd. Youngstown, OH 44511, for Norma J. Grantz who passed away Tuesday evening at St. Elizabeth Medical Center Boardman Campus. Norma was born May 23, 1927 in Youngstown a daughter of the late William and Vesta (Measmer) Davis. A homemaker, Norma was a very active member of the Zion Lutheran Church, enjoyed playing cards with her friends and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Local 396. Her husband James Grantz, whom she married September 11, 1945, passed away February 2, 2009. She was a loving mother and will be sadly missed by her sons: James G. (Teri A.) Grantz of New Springfield, Daniel R. Grantz of North Jackson, and Ronald G. (David) Grantz of Hermitage, PA; and daughters: Diane (Pat) Armstrong of Canfield and Brenda Grim of North Jackson. She was a loving grandmother to twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren. Also surviving Norma is her sister: Joanna Hemphill of Youngstown. Norma is predeceased by her parents, husband, a grandson John David Grantz, and four brothers: William, John, David, and Robert Davis Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Lutheran Food Bank, 3300 Canfield Rd., Youngstown, OH 44511in Norma's name. Friends may call from 3 pm until 7 pm Friday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes Austintown Chapel and from 9 am until 10 am Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church.
