Norma Jean Olson

Norma Jean Olson, age 83, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016. Born August 17, 1932 in Youngstown, she was the daughter of Monte and Margaret (Timmons) Patterson. Mrs. Olson retired in 1989 from the Youngstown Hospital Association after over 30 years of service. A former member of the Mahoning United Methodist Church, she attended Wedgewood Park E.C. Church. She was a member of the Retired Nurses Association; she enjoyed bingo, church activities, vacationing in Florida, and knitting. Survivors include her children: Pamela (Russell) Mutter, George (Karen) Olson, and Linda (Michael) Seka; grandchildren: Rebecca, Donny, Ryan, Devin, Jenna, and Jeremy; two great-grandchildren; and a brother George Patterson. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard in 2011 and a sister Carole Goedecker in 2015. A Memorial Service will be held at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 2:00PM, friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
