Olga Corrado

Mrs. Olga B. Corrado, 85, of Vienna, OH passed away peacefully Monday morning May 17, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren, OH following a brief illness Mrs. Corrado was born on January 17, 1925 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Sklenar) Baxa. She was a graduate of Robinson Township High School in Moon Run, PA, and would go on to attend Youngstown State University where she studied the Russian Language. After spending the World War II era on the West Coast, she would return to the Ohio area where she worked for the Van Huffel Tube as an Executive Secretary. Olga married Andrew A. Corrado on March 14, 1959 and together they would share more than forty-five years of marriage. They would go on to purchase Harshman Trucking and Industrial Cartage and form Regal Transportation before their retirement in 1990. Mr. & Mrs. Corrado were also the owners and operators of O.B. Acres in Vienna, OH for many years. Mrs. Corrado attended First Assembly of God in Vienna, OH and had enjoyed spending time reading, traveling, and taking casino trips. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She is survived by her four children Dennis R. Bernier of Florida, Dennis Corrado of Michigan, Kathy Whitlatch and her husband William of Mississippi, and by Daniel F. Corrado and his wife Susan of Niles, OH; her sister Viola Cross of Howland, OH, her brother Charles Baxa of North Carolina, her eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and by her special friend Norma Bates of Niles with whom she shared many special memories. Preceding Olga in death were her parents; her husbands Donald Bernier and Andrew Corrado; and by two brothers and her two sisters. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday evening at the Lane Funeral Homes Madasz Chapel in Brookfield, OH from 5-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00 AM the funeral home. Burial will follow in Dugan Cemetery.
