Onalea C Evans

Onalea Evans, 82 of Niles, died on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at her home after fighting a long and courageous battle with cancer. Onalea was born April 12, 1933 in Holcomb, West Virginia a daughter of the late Charles and Maggie (Thomas) Clevenger. Onalea was a 1951 graduate of Richwood High School in West Virginia. She worked as a line operator for Packard Electric for over 30 years. Onalea was a proud Christian and a longtime member of Central Baptist Church. In her free time she enjoyed playing bocce, gardening, cooking and playing cards with friends. Onalea true passion was dancing, she danced competitively as well as taught dance lessons at Fred Astaire Dance Studios. She leaves behind her children; Gary (Tracey) Dodrill of Austintown, Eugenia Andersen of Niles, Stephanie (John) Zimomra, Monica (Paul) Olbrych both of Howland and Jimmy Evans of Warren; six grandchildren; Brian Smith, Ian Dodrill, Cameron ( Emily) Smith, Skyler Smith, Megan (Andrew) Pirigyi and Sean Dodrill, 14 great grandchildren and a sister Ann Hoff of Akron. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Evans who died August 9, 1980, they were together for 8 wonderful years. She was also preceded in death by a sister Charlotte Perrine. Family and friends may call Friday November 20, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Niles Chapel 415 Robbins Ave, Niles, OH 44446. Funeral services will be at Saturday November 21, 2015 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Cain officiating. Interment will take place at Niles City Cemetery.
