Patricia A Elder

Patricia A. Elder of Niles, passed away at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 2011 in her home with her family by her side. She was 81 years old. Ms. Elder was born on January 22, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio the daughter of the late Curtis and Thelma (Salanders) Nichols and was a graduate of McKinley High School in Columbus. A homemaker, Ms. Elder enjoyed collecting dolls and bears but most of all she enjoyed the time that she spent with her family especially her grandchildren. Ms. Elder was of the catholic faith. She is survived by five children Lynn Elder of Warren, Karen (Jim) Aikins, with whom she made her home in Niles, Jacque (Michael) Mickler of New Springfield, Pattee Pennell of Warren and Curt (Maria) Elder of Warren; three brothers Wallace (Joyce) Nichols of Columbus, Richard (Judy) Nichols of Tennessee and Arden (Linda) Nichols of Corning, Ohio; eight grandchildren Tasha (Jim) Stanton, Heather Depp, Michael (Rebecca) Mickler, Derek Aikins, Nicole (Brian) Kokai, Sara (Tony) Lori, Larry (Mary) Elder and Lauren Elder; five great grandchildren Kalie, Makenzie and Nathan Stanton, Tyler Aikins and Lucas Kokai; and a nephew Rick (Chrissy) Nichols of Fowler. Calling hours will take place on Monday, February 7, 2011 from 5 until 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service in the Lane Funeral Home Niles Chapel, 415 Robbins Ave, Niles. A Funeral Service celebrating Pat's life will take place on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Patricia's name to Hospice of the Valley Trumbull County Chapter, 3000 E. Market Street, Warren, Ohio 44484
