Patricia Ann Ritter

Patricia Ann "Patty" Ritter beloved daughter of James and Anna (Muto) Ritter went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday June 16, 2009 at the Cleveland Clinic. She was 56. Patty was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on June 22, 1952. Moving to the area in 1966 with her family Patty enjoyed listening to country music, watching game shows, playing with her great nieces and nephews, buying new watches, talking on the phone, animals, playing bingo & skip-bo, riding her 3-wheel bike in Florida, cross-stitching and doing bead work. In 1974, Patty went to the Special Olympics in California where she competed in swimming events, where she medaled in the back stroke. Patty is survived by her parents of Cortland; siblings, Marlene (Don) Nye, Dominick (Jan) Ritter, Tina (Paul) Kepner and James Ritter Jr.; 11 nieces and nephews and 11 great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11am Friday, June 19, 2009 at Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel in Cortland with Pastor Henry Funk officiating. Calling hours will be from 6-8pm Thursday at the funeral home.
