Paul E. Hutchings

Paul E. Hutchuings 93, a longtime resident of Niles, Ohio passed away at 1:10PM on Tuesday November 22, 2011 at Sheppard of the Valley in Howland where he had been a resident for the past several years. He was born in Niles on December 11, 1917 the son of the late Walter and Bertha (Thomas) Hutchings. Paul was a graduate of Niles High School and went on to marry Mildred S. Barthen on July 9, 1940. Together they would share more than fifty-three years of marriage and their four children. Mr. Hutchings was the former Vice-president of the Niles Bank and was the manager of the Village Center office. Before his retirement in 1977 with more than twenty-five years of service, Paul had also worked the Home Federal Bank. He was a longtime member of the Warren Elks #295 where he had often enjoyed playing cards with his friends. Paul also had enjoyed traveling and playing golf in earlier years. Mr. Hutchings will be sadly missed by his sons Robert W. (Carol Lee) Hutchings of Ravenna, OH, and James P. (Ana) Hutchings of Gainesville, FL; his two daughters Linda (Charles Banning of Johnston, OH and Nancy (Greg) Fraizer of Oregon, OH; and by his six grandchildren Kelley, Kim, Paul, Melissa, Ashley, and Kyle. He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred on May 26, 1994, and by his brother Arthur Hutchings. The Rev. Ron McIlvaine will conduct a memorial service beginning at 11:00AM on Friday December 2, 2011 at the Lane Funeral Homes Niles Chapel 415 Robbins Avenue Niles, OH 44446. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Niles City Cemetery.
