Paul V. Mason of Masury, Ohio, died at 1:55 PM Thursday (10-23-2008) in the Select Specialty Hospital of St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Youngstown, Ohio, following an extended illness. He was 75. Mr. Mason was born in Fairview, Ohio on December 4, 1932, a son of Lee L. and Elsie (Boyd) Mason. Paul went on to serve our country in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict. His decorations and citations include: Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, and a C.I. Badge. Mr. Mason retired from Thomas Steel Strip, Warren, Ohio in 1994 after 12 years as a steel roller. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, telling jokes, and dancing. Survivors include: his children, Christine V. Mason, Newton Falls, OH, E. Marty Mason, Citra, FL, and Loretta Archuleta, Thayne, WY; his sister, Carolyn Sheldon, Citra, FL; his eight grandchildren, Clair Bigelow, Shane Mason, Kerry Bigelow, Christopher Archuleta, Alyssa Archuleta, Erica Mason, Jamie Mason, and Dylan Gentile; his four great-grandchildren, Devan Bandy, Kylie Large, Brent Bigelow, and Austin Bigelow; and his companion, Joyce Sonny, Masury, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his daughter, G. Sue Kelvington. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday (10-28-2008) at the Lane Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel, Brookfield, Ohio. Calling hours will be Monday from 5-7 PM.
