Paul Vincent Baker

Paul V. Baker, age 90, of Warren died Monday at 9:10 am at Community Skilled Nursing Centre in Warren. He was born October 14, 1915 in New Brighton, PA the son of Vincent Allen and Leona Avis (Mercer) Baker. Paul was a member of the Cortland Church of the Nazarene. He served in the Army in Okinawa as a sergeant during WWII and retired from American Welding & Mfg. Co. in Warren, where he had worked for 16 years. He is survived by his wife Irene G. (Simms) Baker; one son, Russell Baker of Warren; two grandsons and 7 great grandchildren; two sisters, Inez Phillips of Waynesburg, PA and Gladys Wink of New Brighton; two brothers, Kenneth R. Baker of Beaver Falls and James W. Baker of Champion Township. One son, Dale E. Baker and one brother, Roy E. Baker both preceded in death. Arrangements are being handled by Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 1:30 pm Thursday, August 17, 2006. Burial will be at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
