Pauline G. Eynon, 65, Funeral services will be 3pm Thursday at the Canfield Presbyterian Church for Pauline Eynon who died Sunday evening at the Hospice House. Pauline was born September 6, 1941 in Youngstown, the daughter of William E. and Edna Grace Newcomb Eynon, Sr. Pauline retired as a Health and Physical Education teacher from Sebring School System in 1991 after 30 years. She also taught at Fairless High School and Streetsboro Elementary. In 1980, Pauline enrolled in an EMT Course and furthered her education by becoming a State Certified EMT Instructor, teaching for 10 years at the Trumbull County J.V.S. She was an outstanding EMT Instructor and shared her knowledge with hundreds of future EMT’s. After her retirement from Sebring, she became a Paramedic, graduating from Browm Memorial Hospital School of Paramedicine. She worked as both a Paramedic and a Quality Assurance Officer for the Pellin EMS in Ellsworth. She was a volunteer for the Ellsworth Fire Department, becoming that department’s first female officer. Her skill in computer technology gave her the ability to help develop the Victim Identification Program that is used by the Federal government to identify victims of disasters. She spent many hours behind the scenes, supporting missions of disasters all over the world. She also served on the Identification team during both the USAIR Flt 427 Crash in Pittsburgh, PA in 1994 and the Flt 93 Crash in Somerset, PA during 9-11, helping to identify the victims of those disasters. Pauline was a member of the Canfield Presbyterian Church, the Youngstown Historical Society and the Genealogy Association of America. She loved gardening, genealogy, computers and was an avid reader. Pauline is survived by her brother and sister in law William E. and Susan Eynon and their children; William E. III and Bethan R. Eynon all from Canfield and her close friends Donald and Pam Bloom. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pauline always shared herself with others. Her skills, care and compassion will be her legacy. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel and from 2-3 pm Thursday at the church. The family requests memorial contributions take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley or the Canfield Presbyterian Church Hand Bell Fund.
