Pauline S. Koziel

Pauline S. Koziel, 88 of Warren, died Tuesday morning August 11, 2015, at Community Skilled Nursing Centre in Warren. She was born June 1, 1927 in Uniontown, Pa. the daughter of the late John and Verona Godvin Sidor. She and her husband, Stanley moved to Trumbull county in 1951 from Uniontown. Pauline was a 1945 graduate of South Union High School in Uniontown, Pa. She was a homemaker all of her married life. Pauline was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Church in Warren. She enjoyed playing Bingo and gardening. She is survived by one daughter, Karen Lee (Earl) Goodwin of Apex, NC; one son, Stanley J. (Sandy) Koziel of Warren; four grandchildren, Stanley Koziel Jr. of Boardman, Veda Koziel of Niles, Brian (Lynn) Wilson of Selma, NC and Brandon Wilson of Warren and five great grandchildren, Veda and Vela Carter, Anthony Koren, Brianna Wilson and Kaitlynn Wilson. Her husband of 43 years, Stanley C. Koziel, whom she married August 26, 1950 preceded her in death November 20, 1993. Four sisters, Ann Volchko, Helen Ryhal, Josephine Burke and Mary Kuznar and three brothers, Thomas, John and Michael Sidor have also preceded in death. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sts. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Warren with The Rev. Andrew Deskevich officiating. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Community Skilled Nursing Centre and Crossroads Hospice for the compassionate and loving care shown to Pauline.
