Philip M. Ladd, Jr.

Salem: Philip M. Ladd, Jr., age 78, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 following a declining period of health. Born October 15, 1937 in Akron, he was the son of Philip D. and Maxine M. (Alward) Ladd. Formerly of Akron, he spent most of his life in the Youngstown area. He retired from General Motors after 35 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and loved hunting and bowling. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Linda J. (Mullens); children: Philip, Christopher, Mark, Denise Huxtable, Shawna (Ron) Purnell, and Jeremy (Leah); grandchildren: Lindsey, Evan, Sophie, and Brynn; brothers Ronald and Brian. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Stephanie. Friends will be received at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, 5795 Mahoning Ave, Austintown, Ohio 44515 on Tuesday February 2, 2016 beginning at 10 until the service begins at 12:00 Noon. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
