A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 8 AM Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, preceded by closing prayers at 7:30 AM at Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel, for Philomena M. Donnarummo Bobovnyk who passed away Wednesday morning at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Philomena was born June 7, 1936 in Niles a daughter of the late Antonio and Carmella (Alfieri) Donnarummo. A 1955 graduate of The Rayen School, she was a domestic engineer and a member St. Mary's Catholic Church and it's Women's Guild. Philomena was in a 500 bid card club with her long time friends, she enjoyed ceramics and crocheting and babysitting her grandchildren. Philomena will be sadly missed by her husband Fred R. Bobovnyk, whom she married July 7, 1956; four children: Fred R. Bobovnyk of Houston, TX, Anthony R. Bobovnyk of Columbus, Kathleen A. (Dirk) Granger of Southington and Stephanie A. (Arthur) Kountz of Cortland; and three grandchildren, her "Little Angels": Cheyenne Rose Granger, Kya Grace Granger and Stephen Scott Kountz. Besides her parents, Philomena is preceded in death by two sisters: Jennie and Susan Donnarummo; and four brothers: Henry, Thomas, Sam, and James Donnarummo. Friends may call from 3 PM until 7 PM Friday at the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel.
