Phyllis J. Miller

Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Phyllis J. Miller, formerly of Austintown, who passed away Monday morning at Briarfield at the Ridge. Phyllis was born July 13, 1923 a daughter of the late Alonzo J. and Joanna (Mann) Miller. Phyllis was a veteran on the United States Navy serving in World War II. She retired in 1980 as an accounting clerk from Truscon Steel Company in Youngstown, was a life long member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Austintown, was a member of the St. David's Welsh Society. Phyllis is survived by two brothers: Richard J. (Helen) Miller and Robert L. (Barbara) Miller; nieces: Alice (John) Riffle and Stacey (Rob) Holmes; nephews: Ric (Debbie) Miller, Mark Wilhelm, Barry Miller, and Todd (Joy) Miller; friend and caregiver Lois Johnson; and her dear friends from "Flo's Girls." The family would like to thank the staff on Wing 5 at Briarfield at the Ridge for their love and care provided to Phyllis over the past year. Friends may call from 4 PM until 7 PM Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and from 12 PM until 1 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
