Robert R Porfilio

AustintownRobert R. Porfilio passed away November 3rd at Hospice of the Valley after a long battle with Cancer. He was surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born March 20, 1947 to Ralph and Mary (DeMain) Porfilio. He graduated from Ursuline High School in 1965. Robert then joined the US Army in 1966 where he served his country for 3 years. Two of those years were served in Vietnam as a Combat Engineer. Upon returning to the states, Bobby spent the next 44 years with ADT Security Systems-Tyco International in Youngstown, Ohio. After servicing numerous Northern states, he retired 6 years ago. He was married to Sally M. Modarelli, the daughter of Florence (Burt) and Frank Modarelli, on April 6, 1977. His cars were his main passion, and he loved vacationing in Las Vegas, while visiting relatives there. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary Porfilio of Youngstown, Ohio. A sister, Angela Porfilio Lewis of Campbell, Ohio. Three Brother-in-laws, Albert Yurcisin of Struthers, Ohio, Jack (Ethel) Modarelli of Austintown, Ohio, and Charles (Dorothy) Modarelli of Las Vegas, Nevada. A Sister-in-law MaryJane Modarelli of Austintown, Ohio. He leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Sally Modarelli Porfilio, one brother Louis (Jean) Porfilio of Campbell, Ohio. One sister, Merceda Porfilio Yurcisin of Struthers, Ohio, and one brother-in-law, Edward Lewis Sr. of Campbell, Ohio. He also leaves behind 10 nieces and nephews, and 3 great nieces, and a great nephew. He was Beloved by all. There will be no calling hours.
