Rachel Elizabeth Cornthwait

Youngstown: Rachel Elizabeth Cornthwait, age 90, passed away following a declining period of health. Born October 4, 1925 in Struthers, Ohio, she was the daughter of Thomas and Laura (Miller) Nieder. Mrs. Cornthwait was a homemaker, she was a member of Smith Corners United Methodist Church, she enjoyed dancing and Bingo. Survivors include her son Paul McElwee, several grandchildren; sisters: June Boehm, Mary Corll, and Barbara Gentile; many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond H. Cornthwait, a brother Thomas Neider, Jr., and a sister Hazel Fakner. Friends will be received at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel on Tuesday from 4-7PM, where services will take place on Wednesday at 1:00PM.
