Ralph E. Dingess, Sr.

Vienna- Funeral services will be held at the Chafin Funeral Home in Delbarton, West Virginia for Ralph Dingess who died Wednesday evening in Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Ralph was born August 13, 1922 in Williamson, W. VA. the son of David L. and Roxie (Curry) Dingess and came to this area in 1971 from Cleveland. Ralph retired as an assembler from General Motors in Lordstown July 1, 1983 after 13 years. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the VFW in W. VA. Ralph served his country during World War Two in the U.S. Navy from 1941 to 1946. He is survived by his daughter; Darlene Ball of Grapevine, TX., sons; Jerry of Vienna, Ralph (Vickie) of Austintown, sisters; Marie Foraker of Flushing, OH., Betty Preston of Dulow, W.VA., Alice Murle of Norgross, FL., Isabelle Runyon of Beckley W. VA. and brothers; David of Omaha, NB., Jack of Dayton and Billy Joe of St. Albans, W. VA. he is also survived by grandchildren; Rachel Spangler, JoAnne Dingess, Samantha Fields, Chrissy Shoff, David Brown and seven great grandchildren. Ralph was preceded in death by his wife Carrie (Mahon) Dingess whom he married February 14, 1948, brothers; John L. and Wallace. Family and friends may call from 4-7 pm Friday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel
