Austintown- Funeral services will be 11 am Monday at First United Methodist Church of West Austintown for Ralph Elmer Dixon of Austintown who passed away Thursday morning at his home. Ralph was born August 20, 1920 in Woodland Pa., a son of Clair David & Elva Sarah (Graffius) Dixon and came to this area in 1939. He was an Operating Engineer with The John Fithian Company for Local 66. Ralph was a member of the church and the Operating Engineers Retirees Club. Ralph was also an Army Veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife; the former Marian Joyce Taylor whom he married November 30,1946; a son Ralph E. of Canfield; two daughters: Gloria Jeanne Cunningham of Diamond, and Vickie Lea Schrader of Austintown; Three sisters: Lola LeCerf of Austintown, Margaret Dixon of Clearfield, Pa., and Shirley Warren of Leetonia, Oh; two brothers: Raymond of Lorain, William of Campbell; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A grandson: Adam Taylor Dixon, four brothers; Sherman, Melvin, Henry, and Roland, and two sisters; Dorothy and Leona preceded Ralph in death. Friends and Family may call from 2-5 pm Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home in Austintown, and 1 hour prior to the time of services Monday at the church.
