Ralph H. Hoon

Ralph H. Hoon Austintown-- A memorial service will be held at a later date For Ralph H. Hoon, 70 who died early in the morning on Thursday Feb. 13, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital in Youngstown. Ralph's body will be donated to science at Ohio State University per his wishes. Ralph was born on June 25, 1943 in Youngstown, OH., the son of the late Herbert Hoon and Eleanor (Ocarz) Horstmann. He leaves behind his two daughters Deanna (Kenneth) Brown of Austintown and Denise (Frank) Belan of Youngstown, his three granddaughters Abby Brown and Karley and Emily Belan as well as his siblings Cheryle Hazlett, Sandi (Mike) Sorriento, Venita (Aleks)Samardjich, George (Debbie) Horstmann and Everett (Mary) Oliver. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Avanell (Biles) Hoon who died on Jan. 17, 1998. He now will be able to reunite with his wife and watch Nascar together.
