There will be private services for Raymond C. Ensley of Columbiana, formerly of Canfield, who passed away Tuesday evening at Salem Community Hospital. Raymond was born June 22, 1931 in Youngstown a son of the late Arnie and Margaret Hahn Ensley. He had worked for 31 years at US Steel retiring in 1981 and also worked for 11 years at the Canfield Fairgrounds in the Maintenance Department, was of the Presbyterian faith, was a member of the American Legion in Columbiana, and a 1950 graduate of Canfield High School. Raymond served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife the former Evelyn Guy whom he married in 1952; three sons: Raymond (Susan) Ensley of Austintown, Jerry (Laura) Ensley of Boardman, and Russell (Stephanie) Ensley of Canfield; and six grandchildren Greg, Carrie, Eric, Amy, Cory and Jessica. Besides his parents, a brother Arnold Ensley precede Raymond in death. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Boardman, OH 44512, in Raymond’s name. Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel has been entrusted to handle the arrangements.
