Services will be 10:30 AM Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Raymond E. Gould, 78, of Brookfield, formerly of Austintown, who passed away Saturday June 12, 2010 in Brevard County Florida while visiting his daughter. Ray was born November 11, 1931 in Youngstown, the son of Raymond F. and Elizabeth E (Delmark) Gould and was a lifelong area resident. He was a 1951 graduate of The Rayen School and attended Youngstown State University, and was an Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. Ray was the owner and operator of Gould Trucking Service for 40 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hubbard for 56 years, and a member of the Youngstown Traffic Club. Ray was an Army Boxing Instructor, winning the Georgia State Lightweight Championship Golden Gloves under the name “Sonny Gould”. Ray leaves his wife the former Donna L. Barber, whom he married July 12, 1952. He also leaves three children; Donna Rae (Zachary) Baker of Vero Beach FL, Raymond Michael (Tina) Gould of Finley OH, and Daniel W. (Patsy) Gould of Brookfield, 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Besides his parents Ray is preceded in death by two daughters; Margaret E. Lightner and LuAnn Bradovitch, and one son Bryan K. Gould. Family and friends may call from 9:30 AM until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
