Raymond E. Smith

Raymond E. Smith Cortland- Raymond E. Smith, age 74, of Cortland, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 following a long illness. Raymond had worked a number of years at Packard Electric and retired as Sergeant for the Bazetta Police Department. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Dianne, two sons, Timothy R. (Cookie) and Raymond "Doug" (Juanita) Smith. Three Grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert "Jack" and Esther Smith; a sister, Donna Lytle, and brother Clinton Smith. Friends may call Thursday 5-8PM at the Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel, 164 N. High St. in Cortland. Funeral service will begin at 8PM with Pastor Steve Maugh Officiating.
