Raymond L. Austin

� Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Raymond L. Austin, 88, of Barberton OH, formerly of Canfield who passed away Saturday morning in Barberton Hospital. Ray was born September 18, 1921 in Plymouth OH, the son of John and Olive (Avery) Austin. He was a self-employed Auctioneer and was the co-founder of the Canfield Auto Auction. He was an Army veteran of WWII. Ray was a member of Old North Church in Canfield, a former member of the Rotary Club of Canfield, a lifetime member of the National Auctioneers Association, and a past president of the Ohio Auctioneers Association. His wife the former June Burr whom he married October 3, 1943, passed away January 9, 1999. Ray leaves four sons; Ron Austin of St. Mary�s, PA, Don Austin of Eastlake, OH, J. Alfy (Karen) Austin of Terre Haute, IN, and Randy (Susan) Austin of Akron, one sister Edith (Bob) Cary of Ashtabula, 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Besides his wife and parents, Ray is preceded in death by a sister; Laura Sheeley, brother; Edgar Austin and a daughter in law; Melanie Austin. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Tuesday and again from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gideon�s International in Ray�s name.
