Raymond Lawrence Gidycz

Raymond Lawrence Gidycz, age 84, of Greene Twp., died on Monday, October 11, 2010 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. He was born on February 5, 1926 in Colebrook, OH, a son of the late Alex Gidycz and the late Amelia Czeczek Gidycz. Ray was a veteran of the United States Army having served during WWII, a lifetime member of the VFW and retired from Republic Steel in 1983 after 35 years. He is survived by his wife, Arvada Bowser Gidycz, whom he married on July 5, 1959, a son Randall Gidycz and a sister, Sylvia Gidycz. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 10AM 11AM at the Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel in Cortland. Services will be at the funeral home at 11AM on Thursday.
