Ray was born on November 1, 1932, in Youngstown, a son of Isabel Dios and Mike Tarasuck. He worked for the Cavanaugh Co., Lowry Supply Co., and Jugenheimer Industrial Supply Co., as a salesman until he retired in 2003. Ray was a member of St. Michael Church in Canfield and an active member of the Men's Club. He enjoyed football and baseball, but most of all he enjoyed his three grandsons Nathan, Nicholas, and Nash. He was an officer and member of the Centro Moderno Spanish Benefit Society and helped establish the current Canfield Soccer Club. Ray was president of the Canfield Soccer Club for four years during which time he helped establish the Mahoning Valley Soccer League and the Canfield High School Club Team. Ray is survived by his wife of 47 years and the love of his life, the former Theresa Hlad. Ray and Theresa were married on May 20, 1961 at St. Joseph's Church in Youngstown. He is also survived by his two sons: Raymond Tarasuck, Jr. and Richard Tarasuck, both of Canfield; three grandsons: Nathan, Nicholas, and Nash, who were the light of his life; a daughter in law Erin Tarasuck; sister in law Nora Hlad; a nephew Ed (Debbie) Hlad two great nieces, Haleigh and Abbey; a niece Katie (Bobby) Ward and great nephew, Bobby; Friends may call from 4 PM until 8 PM Monday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel. A mass of Christian Burial will he held 10 AM Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Canfield, preceded by closing prayers at 9:20 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
