Raymond Richard Rigsby

Raymond Richard Rigsby, age 53, of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, died on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 10:25 AM at the Pittsburgh Presbyterian Hospital of heart failure. He was born on November 15, 1960 in Cortland, Ohio, the son of Donald Woodrow Rigsby and the former Nancy Phillips. Ray was a 1979 Lakeview High School graduate. He was an auto parts manager for twenty plus years at Thomas Chevrolet and Subaru in Bedford, PA. Some of his hobbies were NASCAR, collecting model air planes and military die cast model vehicles. He also loved John Wayne Movies and the older military movies. However, Ray loved spending much of his time with his family especially his grandson. Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie (Corey) Wheland of Munhall, PA; one grandson, Greyson Wheland; his mother and step-father, Nancy and Douglas Tackett of Warren; two brothers, Larry (Darlene) Rigsby of Champion and Phillip Rigsby of Cortland, and one sister, Lisa (Greg) Luscher of Cortland; and his former wife and lifelong friend, Helene Petrovich of Johnstown, PA. His father is deceased. Family and friends may visit from 4-6 PM on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel.
